Devil's Tower

I took this back in May on vacation. I had never been west of Dubuque IA before this trip my dad and I took. We went west from Southeaster WI, to Minnesota south into Iowa, through Nebraska and into Wyoming. Then on the Wyoming/Colorado we arced back east and hit up Devils Tower. A lifelong goal was met for both my father and I. We ended up spending the morning walking around it with a man from Texas. It is a gorgeous region of the country to visit and I am very thankful to have been able to see and touch our first national monument.  I would have very much liked to talk to some of the local native population about their history with the site. I'm always fascinated by their lore and stories. All-in-all the trip was very much needed and very much appreciated
